ACUTE‘s second residence took place from 18 to 29 September in the centre of Society and Contemporary Culture, Azkuna Zentroa. On this occasion, the National Theatre Marin Sorescu (Craiova-Romania) was able to work on its experimental production Reconstituirea.
Based on the film “Reconstituirea 68” directed by Lucian Pintilie in 1968 and considered by several critics as the best film in the history of Romanian cinema, the project “Reconstituirea” will follow a model of experimental research that explores new tools and creative processes, forms of language and artistic expressions facilitated by emerging technologies.
The experimental performance production Reconstituirea is defined by its integrated approach mixing theatre, film and virtual reality with live performers and gamified multi-layered mediaturgy. The project aims to explore the boundaries between truth and fiction within the process of “reenactment”.
