The Testbed Design Toolkit is an interactive set of tools for developing experimental theatre productions. With the help of Design Thinking methodology, theatres can develop innovative concepts that incorporate new technologies. The toolkit contains tools that are widely used in the creative industry, that have proven their value and that will help theatres to develop innovative concepts, based on new technologies in a user-centred, structured way.
To support a structured development process, the toolkit will be based on the production journeys within the themes “New Dramaturgies”, “Stage Design” and “Audience Engagement” combined with the Design Thinking steps. This will help stakeholders to find the tools that will be beneficial for every stage of the production journey.
Here you will find the testbed design, in the form of an interactive toolkit. This was designed in ACuTe project workpackage 3, to provide a structured way to develop and test experimental theatre productions. The toolkit is based on the Design Thinking methodology, which is widely used in the creative industry.
